On the 50th anniversary of the ‘March On Washington’, and Martin Luther King Jr.’s inspiring and timeless ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, Achilles Wheel would like to acknowledge the many who have continued to believe in the dream of overcoming oppression and tyranny. This song was written a couple years ago when the news was awash with stories of Union workers striking in Madison Wisconsin, the ‘Arab Spring’ and the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement. A time that those who came before us would have been proud to see. It’s a time that we’re still living in, filled with progress and setbacks, and one that begs for our hope and inspiration to remain intact, so we don’t lose what they had won.
